Trying to find a place to take DH for his birthday....he says he wants steak teriaki, but from a place that slices the steak in thick pieces and 'drenches it in sauce'...we need to make a reservation for 11 people, preferably someplace in nassau. TIA

Try gyu Kaku in the city. They have all different types of food and you get to grill it yourself. The food is amazing. I had FH's birthday there last year with 12 people and everyone loved it!

Mikado on Merrick Road in Lynbrook (right down the block from the movie theater). It's a little place but it's always crowded because it's so good...and reasonable too! I love their steak teryiaki. I'm not sure about reservations though...worth checking though.

I know it's probably a little far for you,but In bayshore, there is an AMAZING japaense sushi place, it is called AJI53 I believe. It was featured in the paper as one of the top 10 places to eat on LI.
It is reasonable, and it's the best sushi I have ever had.! :)

love shogun in island park and nanatomi in valley stream for hibachi. also mikado in lynbrook is delish too.
