recommended books (I know this has been done 34983408 times)

Original post by MikeandJess

I'm finally finishing up my semester tomorrow and I'm going to have some free time to read about something other than psychopathic murderers. Can you girls recommend something light/funny?

I felt the same way Jess, since i just finished school last week to!! Congrats!

I recommend anything by Nicholas Jodi Picoult (I think thats how you spell it), so i am going to start reading those. I'll let you know how they turn out.

Thanks, I will check out that author, Kim recommended her too, or him, I'm confused.

It's Jodi Picoult. I just read Plain Truth by her. It was so good, definitely recommend it.

I know a lot of people really enjoyed the devil wears prada (the book) but I cannot get myself to read it. I tried really hard

its weird but after i've seen the movie, its like eh i'd rather read something else

Book was sooooooo much better. 100 times funnier than the movie.

i know everybody keeps telling me that...but i feel since i saw the movie i know too much hahahaha, maybe i'll get over it and finally read it

The book has SO MANY differences. General story is the same, but the reason why the book kicks the movie's @ss is because of the funny details, the movie leaves so much out and the way the ending comes to be is entirely different. Definitely read it if you get the chance.

if you girls loved 'devil wears prada' i really recommend 'everyone worth knowing' same author and its real good.

And if anybody liked bergdorf blondes then definitely try divorce(sorry i dont have the accent mark lol) debutante, i couldn't believe how much i loved it...somebody recommened it to me on here and one day i bought it but i kept reading other books first and then finally i decided to see what it was about...i finished it so quickly too bc i stayed up so late one night to finish the book bc i had to know what happens.

botox diaries is good too.

Not much to say but,,, READ IT!!

The Christmas Tree by Julie Salamon-

it is a quick read and an endearing story about the hunt for the Tree. It made me tear up a bit and hit home when it comes to things that you can find comfort in. It is only 118 pages, with illustrations.

READ IT-
GIFT IT

I have my FFIL to thank for the reccomendation

thanks for the recommendation, does it matter that I'm jewish? Will it still have the same effect on more or is 'the christmas tree' symbolic? I feel weird even asking that

so I am pretty sure you will still enjoy it
