I'm watching the local Philly news, and, there was a story on about a girl who got engaged, went to have it sized, and the woman said to her, 'Why did you wait so long for it to be sized?' She was all like, W T F are you talking about?
The ring was purchased in 2004. They began dating in 2005, and she realized he had purchased it for his ex.
I'm not sure how I would feel about this. I think I would be really upset.
The guy said that he can't imagine having to bring back the ring and get less than half of its value back, and didn't think it was a big deal!!! Don't men realize that diamonds KEEP THEIR VALUE!?!?!!?!

Re: Recycled E-ring
They're still talking about this on the news.
The guy just said, 'Yeah, I'm going to take a $10,000 ring back and get $2,000 for it.'
Is he serious??? That would NEVER happen.

retard, all he had to do was do some research...it's not that hard...that's common knowledge that diamonds don't change in value..and if they did change in value, it would most likely increase before it decreased..

I wouldn't mind if the center stone was used again, but I would have to have the setting changed for my style.

I wouldn't leave FH over it but I would be upset. You want him to pick out the ring with you in mind and if it was a recylced ring then clearly he bought it thinking of what someone else would like. That's what would upset me most.

First off I know mine was bought for me and only me.. lol
Second yes I would be soooo ticked off if I found that out. I wouldn't leave FH over it but yes I'd be really mad. I agree that you want him to choose the ring with you and only you in mind.
He should have sold the ring and bought her a new one or recycled the diamond(s) in a diffrent setting.
