Red Dress? with poll

i see ppl wearing color at weddings all the time. I hardly wear black to a wedding actually, i wear color. This past saturday i attended a wedding and the color of the dress was raspberry.

I've worn maroon to a wedding, so close to red but darker.

I just wouldn't wear red to an asian wedding since traditional asian brides wear red the way we wear white so its our equivalent of not wearing white

I say go for it!!!!!

But I am biased because I love red!!!!

also if going to the ceremony in a church, you have to be careful with red bc some cultures you cant wear red in the house of god. Not sure if this even applies for you.

Do it! I hate when people wear black to weddings. It's a happy, celebratory, fun time. It makes me think of a funeral. Red would be awesome.

funny way to look at it but so true. I mean i dont mind if ppl wear black but sometimes ive gone to some weddings and seriously like every guest is in black, its like wow wheres the color. Its one thing when you see a few ppl in black but yeah so very true, when a majority of ppl are in black it does remind me of a funeral.

By wearing color you dont take away from the bride. I mean if i wear color its not like im taking away from the bride with a big dress on, headpiece, veil and obviously is the center of attention, for me to think that i can take away attention from her would be a bit much and putting myself up on a pedestal to think i can do so that easily

Great point at an Asian wedding this might be like wearing white...but if not I say why not!

I saw absolutely, why not? People wear red all the time, it's really a color that can go with just about any season and often looks really nice and dressy on people. I say go for it!

i say go for it! red is beautiful. If it was white, then thats a different story!! (i actually attended a wedding recently where some girl wore a white bride-like gown!! )
