Regarding my too small gown.

I called RK Bridal this morning. They cannot take the dress back unfortunately, but the lady was so nice. She said for me to come in, they will measure me and see what they have in stock. She also said she will make a few calls to make sure they get me a new dress asap. I feel like she really cared. I know I don't have a dress that fits yet, but I feel better that there will be a resolution.

They are wonderful there, I'm sure what you were hearing was totally genuine. You can always sell the other gown later! It'll all work out - I'm glad to hear you're feeling better about it!

I'm glad although the dress isn't right the shop is willing to work with you to make it right! Good luck with it and I'm sure everything will fall into place.

Yay! I just spoke to a seamstress and she told me to bring the dress in. I explained that it is several inches too small up top and she said 'you'd be amazed what we can do with fabric'. I laughed. So I am taking the dress on Sunday afternoon and she is going to tell me what we can do with the dress.

If that doesn't work I will go to RK to find something new.

So for the next few days, I am going to be very stressed.

I have to pray.

RK Bridal is great!!!! I was just there again today visiting the dress I like - Franchesca - Maggie Soterro. I'm sure they can help you if the seamstress can't alter it.

Another option for you: Birnbaum and Bullock's sample sale

I got my dress at their fall sample sale. You get to work with the designers themselves, the quality of their dresses is phenomenal and the sample dresses come in all sizes. What's more, you can get your alterations done by them.
