Re: Registering
Good question! 8 seemed like to few if we were entertaining, so we went with 12.

Re: Registering
Its easy to change, we originally had in 8, then did 10, now we have 12.

Re: Registering
i have eight we do not have a house and will not have a house for a while so i doubt we will be entertaining that many to a sit down dinner - anymore then eight will be a paper plate night IoI
I figured if we ever change our mind or if we find it is going to be discontinued we will get the other four sets.

Re: Registering
We registered for 12, but we plan on Hosting Shabbat once a month for our family & friends Jewish & Non, which would be 12 people. Thanksgiving, etc. Someone that may not plan on hosting a ton of dinner parties or that doesn't have a large family may register for 6. It's all determined on personal needs & intentions.

Re: Registering
We registered for 16 place settings so we could use our fine china on holidays. I wouldn't register for less than 12.

Re: Registering
we went with a setting for 8.....we are never gonna have that many people over at a time living in an apartment............if we fall into a whole bunch of $$ or win the lottery , and can buy a house....we will get 12 lol

Re: Registering
i think 12 is probably the safer route - it's always better to have too many then not enough
