When did you register? How long before your wedding? Our wedding is in November, shower is in the summer? (at the earliest) and my Mom keeps hounding us to register... Would it look weird to register for gifts 10 months before the wedding?

not weird at all... our relatives were asking as soon as we got engaged even though no one really sent us gifts so it was one of the first things we did. as soon as we sent save the dates, a lot of people sent us engagement gifts!

I registered like within 2 weeks of being engaged. I found since Ive been engaged Ive received some gifts for my bday and for xmas last year and as gifts. Like when we got engaged my grandparents bought our pots and pans and then bought us our Kerig.

we're getting married the same day and i've been registered since april - we did it mainly for our eparty, but i've gotten bday and christmas gifts from there too

Ha it was one of the first things we did- bc everyone was dying to get us gifts (we are lucky and i was not going to say no or get stuff i did not want). plus we knew we were going to have an e-party. so literally before anything else was done (almsot 2 yrs before the wedding). :) while looking back on it i did feel rushed- i am still glad i did do that bc we got a ton of gifts off our lists :)

Not at all. We registered just before my engagement party invites were sent out. We got a few gifts, but for Christmas a ton of stuff for Christmas from it.

About 14 months before the wedding lol.. Then again my family likes to get a jump on things and started buying stuff right away for me... I don't think 10 months is too early at all.. Just be sure to keep an eye out on them for discountinued stuff especially if you use Macy's

Ok good, here's what we're thinking:
BB& B since they have everything ...
Bloomingdales since we have service for 6 of our china already since we are the only ones who carry it...
Tiffany & Co if we decide to register for crystal, the pattern that we like is in the same price point as Waterford.
Is 3 too many?

We're registered at Williams Sonoma and Macy's, we didn't register for a lot because we have been living together for 4 years. Just some new things. We mostly want money and not gifts!
