this is so tacky but, tomorrow is my shower and i have been checking my registry and noticed that people are purchasing things not on my registry and getting me things in duplicate? what's up wtih that? has this happened to anyone???

Is it at Bed Bath and Beyond? That happened to one of my friends. Sometimes if there is more than one item made by the same company and it's not hte right one, people buy it. Also, if they are buying something for themselves at the same time, it gets put on the registry after it's scanned. Sometimes it doesnt' update right on time so that's how there are duplicates.

When I pull up my registry, there's stuff that i didn't request but it shows up as being received!

well that is ODD???? Maybe you should sent them an email or call them...or have your MOH call some people and spread the word

My future MIL did that for us...for instance, she saw a george forman grill that she thought we could use. We had never put it on our registry, so she added it to our registry for us, and then bought it. So on my registry, it says I requested one and need 0, even though I never requested it. My registry is at Macys.
