Re: Registry

Its ok!

Go back through the list and only choose things you know youll use!

I had to register for everything bc we only moved in together last week, There is a bunch of things I wish i registered for, that i didnt, and I foud that people were quick to buy me the chocolate fountain over things i really needed, like towels and esp. sheets!!!

Only put wheat you know u need or will use. Put maybe 3 fun things thatu DEF want, bc odds are youll get them.

Also its a good idea to look at the price. I dont need the 80 dollar waffle iron, the 30 dollar one at macys is fine for us bc whilei like to use it, im not making them all the time.

I have used my 200 dollar food processor tho a 2 or 3 times this week - so im glad i got that!

the only kitchen gadget i need is themixer bc i will use that often!

HTH!

I waver from thinking I registered for too much, and then not enough. I counted up the unpurchased items I had at each store and sorted them by price range...

I'm anticipating a small shower in NY (maybe 30-40 people invited) and a very small shower out here (maybe 15 people invited) and some OOT guests who will probably want to give wrapped gifts for the wedding.

I did take off some things we dont want as much, so hopefully the stuff we really wants gets bought first. Then we can add the other stuff back.

We still need to decide on a down comforter too...

I dont want to hijack but can you FM me some things to use a food processor for? one of my close friends got us the $199 cuisinart one as an engagement gift and it's still in the box. it gets used daily, but as a step stool for the cats to look into the fish tank.

FH says if I dont use in the next 3 weeks he is going to return it... I dont know what to use it for we also have the tiny countertop sized one which i havent used either

I've definitely been registering for sooooo much stuff! But that's because we have nothing! I figure whatever I don't get for shower gifts, I can hopefully just tell people to use my registry for bday gift ideas.

Re: Registry

i registered for a lot of kitchen electrics, but I really do love to cook. FH and I live with FMIL in a small apartment, so many of my items will be staying in boxes until we buy a house since there isn't much counter space here for all of them. I cannot wait to use them though. I know I will cook more once I have the tools to do what I want.

Even though FH and I live together, most of what we have (plates and things) are either from the dollar store or from our college days/donated from family. My plates and serveware are actually my mother's old corningware which is now going on 20+ years old. We mainly registered for things we may already have, but are very old and really mismatched.

I really didnt register for things I wont use, its really the stemware and flatware that I am nervous about. I had to register for 16 pcs b/c I have a huge family. Im worried I wont get it all or it will take away from electrics we want

What would you rather get first? If you would rather get the electronics, maybe change your stemware and flatware to 12 pcs for now, to make sure you get at least some of what you need, and you can always stalk your registry and up it to 16 if things are getting purchased?
