My FH and I went to register this weekend at Bloomies and Bed Bath & Beyond and FH wanted to register this convection oven at both places 'cuz he really wants this gift and he thinks that by putting it on both registries we will have a higher chance of getting it because not everyone looks at mutiple registries. But I thought this would increase the chance that we would get duplicate gifts and it would be a hassle to return. Also, I always look at mutliple registries to see everything rather than just picking one registry to choose from. What has your experience been?

We had the same conversation and did NOT duplicate. If you have a shower and people show up with the same gifts it is sort of an awkward situation. As long as you tell people all the places where you are registered you should be fine!

I agree that you shouldn't register for the same item in multiple places. Besides, if you don't get it you could always make some returns later and purchase it then!

Are you going to watch your registry? If you are then put it on both and then if it purchased you can take it off the other stores list. But that only works if you are going to be peeking!!

do not duplicate. register for different items on both, you will get stuff from each registry, then you can always go back & buy what you didn't get
