Registry Duplicates

How does that happen?? FH checked the registry (I am TRYING to be good) and told me that we are getting 2 toaster ovens. I feel bad that someone is going to give a duplicate gift.

Same here I am also getting 2 toaster ovens (not that I have been looking either). Don't you think that the cashier would tell them that it's a duplicate?!!?

Some people that are nor 'register savvy' forget to take the registry to the cashier, so it's not taken off. I've done it a few times Accept the gift and return it later. if it's from BB&B you can get cash back instead of a store credit

Sometimes the registry can take up to 24 hours to update.

I ended up with 2 kitchen aid mixers. But strangely enough, they were actually purchased in two different Williams Sonomas within minutes of eachother!

But it is listed on the registry as 1 requested 2 purchased - so the cashier did scan the registry.

II'm sure they will take it back, I just will feel bad for the two people who give me the same gift at my shower.

the same thing happened to me today. I keep getting dupes AND i get stuff on my registry that i did not request. I guess friends are getting creative?
