So how many of you registered for Luggage? And if so how many pieces did you get? Like 1 tall, 1 med, and 1 small or just the tall and the small. And do I get 2 Med (1 for him 1 for me?) and 1 small
I have no idea what to register for!
HELP! LOL
Edited: Is 29' for a an upright suitcase almost too big? Is 26' a good size?

Re: Registry- Luggage????
we registered for 4 and got all our pieces. i thought the 29' was too big. so we got a 26', 24' 19' (which is the rolling one that can fit on the plane) and a tote. that was enough for us for our week long HM. I think I might have brought one more tote with us on the plane.

Re: Registry- Luggage????
My sister and one of my best friends registered for luggage when they got married. I plan on registering for it too! Will probably get one large and one medium bag, but I haven't even started looking into it yet!

Re: Registry- Luggage????
Thanx ladies. I saw a nice Delsey one on Macys.com I just dont know if 29' is too big and maybe should register for just the 26' and 21'. FH thinks 29' isnt too big but I remember when I had to go buy just 1 piece for myself I THINK I got the 26', but I dont have it here at the new apartment so I dont know! UGH! LOL
I just dont know what to do! Maybe Ill just register do 2 26' instead of the 29'... HMMM who knew registering for luggage was so stressful! LOL

Re: Registry- Luggage????
Don't mean to pipe in, but I'm heading on a trip soon and was having the same luggage debate. Airlines have gotten CRAZY about the fees for overweight luggage. I highly recommend registering for smaller ones. I have 2 larger pieces that I can't use anymore since when they are packed they are more than the weight limit, which I think is 50 lbs. Good luck!!

FANTASTIC POINT!!!! I was just looking into luggage and have had to factor this in- the weight of the luggage when it's empty. I would go with the smaller luggage (26')and then a carryon for each of you. International weight restrictions are even more stringent, better to err on the side of caution because those fees are obsecene....and if you end up having to pay in Euros or pounds- UGH!

Re: Registry- Luggage????
FH and I are both big travelers so I registered for a total of 6 pieces: 30' duffell (for FH); 29', 25', 21' roller bag, tote bag and garment bag.
I registered for the Delsey Helium which are super-light. I have a 26' Samonsite that is a couple of years old. It's in great shape and I really like it, but even empty it's pretty heavy.

Re: Registry- Luggage????
I'm debating whether or not to register for luggague since you can get the same pieces at Marshalls or Filene's for $80 while you would pay at least $200 at BBB or Macys.

Re: Registry- Luggage????
we're big travellers and we just got our luggage at my shower yesterday to replace the pieces we already had.
I got the 26' for me, 21' for FH and carry on for toiletries. We have been travelling for years and I have been all over the world and never needed more than that. You really shouldn't need more than a piece or two for each of you, airlines charge for everything now. Definitly be careful about the large suitcase, they tend to get very heavy.

Re: Registry- Luggage????
Now those are good points about the piece being too big, thats what I thought too. Ok I did 1 26' and 1 21' and I may add on the rolling tote size for toiletries or shoes or something. LOL
I appreciate all the help! This stuff is so confusing!

Re: Registry- Luggage????
I registered for our luggage. The only reason why I got it was bc MIL bought the whole set for us. I noticed (at least from my shower) that most guests tend to get the kitchen items not too sure why lol.

Re: Registry- Luggage????
FH & I will not be registering for luggage. we see it as a waste. we do not travel & if we do we can just use the set my parents have. i also don't think expensive luggage is always a good idea. the people who load the luggage onto and off of the plane do not care how much it cost you. they get dirty, scratched up & sometimes sit out in the weather conditions.
