Registry Question

so originally i had a Macys registry but i closed it since i didnt have much on it. so now i only have BBB

the lady told me you should have at least twice as many items as the guests you are inviting (i guess since people make baskets and stuff)

well my shower has about 70 people invited and i dont think i have enough stuff on my list

i feel like i must be missing something. the only thing i didnt register for is china and crystal and what not. maybe thats why?

i think im just confused

Re: Registry Question

to be honest - I am in the same boat as you. I am not registering for anything I don't truly want or need. I think its a big sales pitch the way they tell you 'need' to register for all of this stuff. If everything on my registry gets purchased people will get me either gift cards or use their imagination and get us some more hearfelt senitmental gifts. If its going to sit around I say don't bother....

Re: Registry Question

I have 200 items - i invited 77 and to be honest my registry is moving slow so i really wouldn't worry about the number of items

Bloomingdales does the same thing. They actually take it one step further and tell you how many items in each price point you need for your guest list. if there are thingd that you like you should add otherwise people might get you something they think you want. And you'll have to return if you don't like. If you want to look through my registry to get ideas let me know!

Re: Registry Question

register for another bedding set. like a duvet cover and decorative pillows , in addition to your bed in a bag.
i like the concept of duvet cover.. u can wash that more often than u do your comforter. especially u 2. making sexytime a lot.

pillows i would have to go to the store and try them out, i cant add that online so i'd have to go to the store.
i have an iron and theres an ironing board on there.
i dont have bathroom stuff on there because my boss bought me all my bathroom stuff from a different store

Don't worry Barb. My FH put M&M's, Whoppers, and Swedish Fish on our registry

Jackie - what about gadgets? Or other things that aren't typical registry items? A new digital camera and accessories? Video camera? Any other electronics that John might want? For instance my FH put the VuPoint Negative Slide Converter on ours. Basically you can run old negative film strips through it and upload the pics onto the computer to make them digital. My mom bought it for him for his birthday.
