Registry question

I don't think it's too early to do one now if you know what you want. I plan on registering DEFINITELY at Bed Bath and Beyond, but I haven't thought about other places. Maybe Macy's?

Registry question

I don't think it's too early...we registered the same day we booked our venue because we very rarely have similiar days off that aren't weekends. People were insisting on giving tangible gifts for our engagement so we only did a few things at first then updated it online. It was SO much fun!! The only downside about registering early is that sometimes stuff will be discontinued. We registered at Bed Bath & Beyond and are going to register at Macys

I started registering for stuff right after we got engaged before we even had the venue lol! I was so excited to register I couldn't stop myself, so far I've only done BB&B.

Registry question

If you're having an Engagement Party & Bridal Shower, wait until after the EParty!! Otherwise, you'll get stuff off the registry for the party!

I am planning on waiting until June/July to do the registry... we are getting married in January, so I am thinking the shower will be in the early fall... early enough for people to figure out what they want to buy and late enough to get all the new stuff that has come out on the registry!

Registry question

We will probably wait until the spring, about 14 months before the wedding. We will do Bed Bath & Beyond, possibly macys or bloomingdales, then either Pottery Barn or Crate & Barrel.

Registry question

We registered last week- as soon as we got engaged people wanted to know where we were registered so they can get us engagement gifts. We registered at Macy's and Bed Bath and Beyond. Also, don't forget you can do your best registering online!
:)

Registry question

We registered a few weeks after we got engaged. It was one of the first things we did. My FH is more obsessed with the registry than I am! We went to BBB and just put on everything we could possibly need. Neither of us have our own place, so we need a lot!! One bit of advice, if you go to Macy's...do NOT go to Broadway. Worst selection and 'consultant' ever. It works in our favor to do it early because we got a lot for Christmas from our parents :)

We registered within 2 weeks of our engagement because we were having an engagement party and figured that people would buy us stuff from there. We registered at Bed Bath & Beyond and Macy's.

Is it bad that I dont want a bridal shower. We already live together,I actually just want monetary gift :/ Please dont judge me. Plus my bridal party keep encouraging me to have a bridal shower but I was informed that it is them that plan it. Not sure how to tell them that. Is this true?

I can understand because we live together so we had purchased everything BUT we didn't purchase higher quality things. We mostly went to Target for kitchen gadgets, etc. We wanted higher quality (lifetime) items for when we purchase a house.

I thought this EXACT same thing and had started planning my FSIL's bridal shower and contacted the rest of the bridal party with ideas. One of the bridesmaids texted me later on and told me that it's actually the MOTHER of the bride who pays for everything and the bridal party just plans the fun stuff, like games and what-not. I don't think either way is necessarily 'correct,' but it's definitely not necessarily automatically on the bridal party to do your shower.

You can always register for things for your honeymoon if that's something that you would be interested in. Have you heard of honey fund?

I have thought about the honey fund. I talked about it with a few friends some said it was great since we were already established others thought it was tacky. I am still unsure where/when we're are registering.

Thanks guys so all the suggestions and letting me know I am not the only one. Definitely looking into the honey fund. I think I have some time to see my budget in regards to the bridal shower, definitely will be discussing this with my bridesmaids.
