Honestly, once I saw how much everything was going to cost, I convinced my parents to have it at their house and FH & I are going to have it catered. We will supply wine and beer and are having all the bbq delivered from Smokin' Al's in Bay Shore. My mom and I are going to make the macaroni and potato salads and cornbread. Our friends aren't really into fancy dinners and we figured this would give us the most bang for our buck for 18 people.
Almost everywhere I looked came to $40-$50 pp if you wanted unlimited beer/wine. If you decide to not have any alcohol it was about $7-$10 cheaper. We have about 40-50 people (huge bridal party, lol).
We are doing it a BBQ in the backyard. We honestly dont have the money for a RH dinner so we are keeping it simple and casual.
We found this really cute italian place in Merrick and my parents are paying $36/person and that includes a premium wine/beer package.

We are having ours at Grimaldi's in Garden City. We booked a while back when it was about $35 for unlimited beer and wine. I think it is a few dollars more now.
we are planning on spending 3K for 80 ppl (inviting all of the out of towners)

about 20 people..it will consists of the bridal party(friends and siblings) and parents only. I plan on having it at my parents since they have a beautiful yard. Hopefully it wont be too much to cater in.
