I am the mother of the groom and my husband and I are looking for a place near Flowerfield in St. James New York or Stony Brook which is where the hotel is. Anyone have some suggestions? We looked at a few places and loved Three Village Inn but it's over our budget. Looking for something around $50 a head.

My fiancée is runs the kitchen for a place that would fall into your price range but it's in Oakdale so about a 20 min drive from Stonybrook.

Ragazzi’s in Nesconset is reasonable. I went to a Christening there a few months ago and the food was excellent and I believe she paid about $30/pp. Insigna is also excellent…you can’t go wrong there.
