Rehearsal dinner help!!

I'm not familiar with LI restaurants so I need your help. I'm inviting 16 adults and 2 children to the rehearsal dinner. Something not too expensive - a buffet or limited menu is fine. I'm looking in Nassau County.

I'd like to keep it at under $40 pp...The rehearsal is in Cedarhurst (south shore) and the guest are staying at the Garden City hotel...so somewhere near or inbetween.

I was thinking italian or american...

I am sorta looking in that area-- I have heard good things about Napa & Sonoma on Franklin Ave in GC..

Also have heard good things about Sole (so-lay) in Oceanside- they are supposed to do really nice private parties.

The Seventh Street Cafe in Garden City is very good. I'm not sure of the price though...

There is a killer Italian/Seafood resteraunt in Mineola/Albertson (Right next to Garden City) on Willis Avenue, called RIVER BAY. AMAZING food, and not out of range for $$.

My Fh and our friends went to this nice intamate Italian restaurant in Bethpage the food was great also and it was not over priced the place was called 'Mary's Backyard' I know sounds funny but I liked it there.
