Re: Rehearsal Dinner in Suffolk ?????
Our OOT guests (the majority of the bridal party) are most likely going to be staying at the Marriott off exit 58 LIE. So I'm thinking within a 20 minute drive from there going west, since my family will be coming from Brooklyn. FH is planning this, so I figured i could get the ball rolling. He needs all the help he can get if you know what I mean

We were thinking of John Harvards... Gashos i think is one of my fav places but i would feel bad if someone didn't like japanese...also if it a large group of people you will be siting at separate tables that might make some feel excluded.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner in Suffolk ?????
Does anyone know a reasonable place in the Port Jefferson area? Everything seems so expensive! Our church is there so I would like to keep the dinner close by.
Thanks!

Re: Rehearsal Dinner in Suffolk ?????
We planned on having ours at Pasta Pasta in Port Jeff but might be reconsidering because of the price. I'm not sure what you want to pay but it's $30 per person and if you want beer and wine included(which we do)it's $39 per person. When you add tax and gratuities it brings it up to $50. We have a huge wedding party...24 off us not including parents(3 sets), readers and signifigant(sp)others so it's more than I want to spend. It's FH's idea to have it there, but i'm looking into other places.

I LOVE Pasta Pasta!! That is the problem I am finding though, everything is very expensive!! I was thinking about Carnival in Port Jeff Station. That might be cheaper?!?!

Re: Rehearsal Dinner in Suffolk ?????
We just did the rehearsal dinner hunt. One thing I'll mention is to look carefully at the price and menu. Alcohol is extra (and expensive), and alot of places will charge more if you want to include a beef as an entree.
Try Cafe Figaro in Centereach. Printers Devil in PJ
We ended up booking The Three Village Inn in Stony Brook.

Pasta Pasta is Great!...that's where my bridal shower will be..but for the dinner menu the price is a little high especially once you add alcohol...but try IL Miradoro in Port Jeff..great food and they have a separate room for a party...dinner menu is $28.95 without alcohol..

Re: Rehearsal Dinner in Suffolk ?????
Did any of you hear of Madisons in Hauppauge. It's on Motor Parkway. It's kinda new. Hubby and I went there for dinner and it was soooooo good. They would do a great rehearsal dinner. We made friends with the woman at the door, that basically runs the place. Her name is Linda, so if you have questions, ask for her.
But I must say the food was fabulous and they even have a dj that plays low key nice music!!!

Is Carnival in the same shopping center as Home Goods and Create A Cake? If so I heard they had good food. I'll have to look into that one.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner in Suffolk ?????
I definitly want a place with a seperate room, but with Il Miradoro once you add on the alcohol it would be expensive. I think finding a place for the RD has been harder than looking for the reception hall. It's totally stressing me out.
