I was curious if anyone knew of some good places to have the rehearsal dinner in Suffolk. I would like it to be somewhat close (no more than 10 mins) from the church. The church is St. Joseph's in Ronkonkoma. Any good places you can recommend?

We're having ours at Cafe Amici's in Selden. We eat there all the time and really like it there. That might be a little bit more then 10 minutes from Ronkonkoma though. What about LI Grill or Mama Cucina's ? Our friends had their RD at Mama Cucina's and it was really nice. Good luck!

I think it kinda depends on what kind of food/atmosphere you are looking for.
If you want more casual, you could go with D&B in Islandia. I know its kinda corny, but I think that would be fun!
Also, Mama Lombardi's in holbrook.

Well I think the kind of atmosphere I would like is an area in which about 40 people can eat comfortably, where we can talk, give gifts, celebrate, and my family REALLY loves Italian food. I picture maybe a family owned restaurant...
Any places you ladies would recommend? I like Mario's in Setauket but it's under construction and my brother had his rehearsal dinner there (i want something different).

Definitely Villa D'Avanzo. Its family owned, delicious food and beautifully decorated. Also, its not too loud in there so you and your family will actually be able to hear one another. We just had our engagement dinner there. It was awesome!!
