I know it's early but, it occured to me we might have some issues with early holiday parties that have been scheduled far in advance.
Anyway, our church is in the town of Huntington and our guests are staying in Hauppauge (near reception).
Where would you have the rehearsal dinner, Huntington, Hauppauge or in between?
Also, if you have any suggestions of restaurants?

I think it depends on who's coming to the RD. If it's a lot of OOT guests who don't know their way around, then it should probably be close to the hotel. Especially if they all won't have cars and you'll need to make car pool arrangements. But if the majority of the people are local, then you could have it closer to the church. I don't know if this helped or not, but Fh and I are going to have the same problem trying to figure out whether to have the dinner closer to the hotel or church!

There are 2 great restaurants in both areas that I would reccomend! Blu Hanu in Huntington and Grill Room in Hauppauge. Really great ambiance and great food at each.
