Rehearsal Dinner Restaurants
So i am definitely turning into a little psycho with wanting to get things DONE EARLY! Especially since I have 2 weddings 2 months before my own...I want to start pricing restaurants for the rehearsal dinner and book early so I have plenty of options...
A) Should the rehearsal dinner be a few nights before the wedding or a week before the wedding?
B) Do you know of any affordable restaurants that are clean and have VERY good food on Long Island? (I am a food-ie!)

Usually the rehearsal is a day or two before the wedding so its still fresh in everyone's minds.Where is your ceremony being held? You probably want the restaurant to be in close proximity.

I am doing mine the day before. Most rehearsal dinners I've been to are the night before. I love Cafe Amici in Selden - it's about 15 minutes from St. James. They have delicious italian food.

The day before for me is Valentine's Day, plus we want to do ours on a weekend so that people do not need to take another day from work. I think well be doing it the saturday before our wedding. (No formal rehearsal at the hall either) Our DOC will do it at the restaurant.

We're having ours the night before (Saturday) in the hotel we're staying in before the wedding. We booked the hotel's banquet hall and are going to cater in. We figure it's a nice way to kick off the wedding the night before.

Also, if your booking early I wouldnt pay a lot up front leave the smallest deposit possible. I only say this because the place my mom came very close to having my shower at closed down 2 weeks before my date!!! (it was a restuarant thats been in my town for years) I feel like you just never know with this economy, so many place I see are here today gone tomorrow.

We are doing ours Friday night because we are getting married on a Sunday. We are hoping to have it at The Good Life in Massapequa Park because that's where we had our first date.

We are also doing ours the Thursday before and we are having a Saturday night wedding. We may even push it back to the Wednesday before but we have to see if our OOT bridesmaid can take off of work. I also think you may want to have it close to where the ceremony is so that people won't have to travel far and it's convienent

How formal do you want the rehearsal dinner to be? Chop Shop in Smithtown and Butterfields in Hauppauge are both excellent. They are not super formal, but they are very nice restaurants with very good food. Both are close to Flowerfield.

We are doing ours in Rockville Center at the bar that we meet at MacArthur Park. They have a restaurant and private room.
