Do we or should we make a speech of some sort? Should I give my FH his gift that night?
I'm not sure about FH's speech, but I believe you should make some kind of toast.
Short & sweet is fine. Thanks for being part of our celebration. We're all going to have a great day at the wedding. Something to that effect. I'll probably give FH his gift when we are alone, but at the party is fine too.
i don't think we're going to make a speech. a toast would be nice, but since Fh's parents are hosting the dinner, i'd like them to make the toast. i think i'm going to say a few quick words at the wedding before dedicating a song to FH (if a get enough courage to speak in front of everyone)

I think you should make some sort of a toast and thank everyone. I know you are suppose to give out your bridal party presents then. I am going to give FH his present the morning of when he is getting ready I'm having one of the GMs take it to him.
I don't think that your FH should make the speech. It should be one of the father's or mother's that does that. They are supposed to wish you luck and happiness...etc....
