rehearsal Luncheon suggestions?

I'm having my wedding on a Sunday afternoon and the rehearsal will have to be the day before on Saturday since a lot of the wedding party is arriving that Friday night. We're planning to have a luncheon and would like to keep it fun and casual since our wedding is the following day at the Milleridge. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or ideas for a fun luncheon-rehearsal? We were thinking we'd have it at my parents house but we realize it's too small and nobody wants to risk having it at the beach or park because if the weather is bad, it won't be fun. I'd appreciate any brainstorming anyone has. Thanks so much!

There's a boat that cruises the LI Sound - I think it's called the Allison Rose. Try a search on that name and you'll find the web site. The menu sounded good but we thought April would be too cold, so we opted for Tequila Sunrise restaurant (Bayside) and a Mexican theme. That was great too, and all the guests had a lot of fun.

What area of LI are you from? We are in the same situation as you are - our wedding is Sunday afternoon and most of the bridal party is coming in from out of town on Friday afternoon/evening. We are doing the rehearsal on Saturday at 4:00, and my parents are hosting the rehearsal dinner afterwards at a place in Lake Ronkonkoma called the Bavarian Inn. We also wanted a little informal type gathering for our bridal party members to meet each other, so we are going to do a bridal party breakfast on Saturday morning at a local diner. I have previously attended luncheons at the Landmark Cafe in Patchogue that were very nice as well.
