Rehersal Dinner Locations around Fox Hollow

So today I was on a mission: to find possible rehearsal dinner places for davenjess that are close to the Fox Hollow. I’m putting what I found out here on the boards because I haven’t been to a single one of them, and would like some feedback.

Okay, so here’s what I found. These are all on Jericho Tunrpike in Syosset/Woodbury:

Sahara
Fulton &Prime
The Inn Between
Café Testarossa
Sagamore Steak House
Stresa East (at the Woodbury Best Western)
Major’s Steak House

And the Woodlands is there, and I think they have a restaurant.

Anyone know anything about these places? All I did was drive by and saw they were there.

Cafe Testarossa is great. Major's is good, it's your standard steakhouse but casual, should be better priced than some of the others. Sagamore is owned by the same people who own Blackstone in Melville and Rothmann's in Oyster Bay, so I am sure it is excellent but probably expensive.

That's all I know :) But, there are a million great places in Huntington village, which is only 15 mins away from the Fox Hollow. We'll probably have ours at a restaurant in the village.

I called Cafe Testerosa yesterday based on someone's suggestion & got the answer of, 'We don't do private parties on Saturday nights.' I have heard this before and it BLOWS....

I'm hopeful my FMIL will be okay with Jackie Reilly's - but i have forwarded her all the info provided by Kit!!!

Thanks for filling in the info! I guess it should be noted that I had about 15 minutes during lunch and just drove from my place on Jericho, slightly past Fox Hollow and turned around at my old high school, Our Lady of Mercy. So yeah, there’s a lot of stuff out there I didn’t touch!

i won a gift certificate to put towards a RD at the restruant at the Fox Hollow but i don't think i'll be using it because i don't want to 'ruin' the surprise of seeing my venue.
most of my bridal party has never been there.

is that wierd?

My FMIL wanted to have ours there but we don't want it there for the SAME reason!
