Rehersal Dinner Restaurants in nassau

Ok so I new to the boards here and first time posting.

I am looking for a restaurant in nassau county for my RD. It will be for about 30 people, who most of the out of towners will be staying in garden city. So I do not want it to be too far from there. I do not want to pay a fortune per person, and would like a private room since there will be alot of us.

Suggestions of where you had your RD and if you remember the pricing per person

I don't know the pricing, but Umbertos in New Hyde Park has great food and does private parties all the time

I using Gino's in Williston Park. Also Piccollo Bussolo, Jonathans, Davenport press, Angelina's are all great

Never heard of Gino's. But not too far from garden city. How much are you paying per person there?

St. James in Mineola, Eleanor Rigby's in Mineola (have private rooms) Then there is Pasta Vino in Mineola. These are all right on the Garden City/ Mineola Border.

Pompeii in West Hempstead is very affordable and negotiable....Novita in Garden City

I'm having mine at La Parma (I think they have 3 locations). They have private rooms and their food is DELISH!

I called La Parma, thought family style would be easier and more reasonably priced, but ended up being $40 pp, which was more then we wanted to spend.

Thanks ladies for the suggestions. I have my work cut out for me calling everywhere...but keep em coming!

This might sound really weird, but we are actually having our RD at the Melting Pot in Farmingdale (our hotel is also in GC). They have a private room and I thought fondue would be super fun for everyone! The food package is $35 pp and then you can either choose to add on alcohol or keep it cash bar for your guests. HTH!

We're having ours at Jonathan's in Garden City Park on Jericho tpke. We have our own private party room and our price per person is $55 plus tax and tip. Fmil is getting us the full course sit down dinner, but they have cheaper options including buffets.

There's also Uncle Baccala's right across the st. I went to a RD there and it was pretty good.

You can try the 7th Stree Cafe on 7th Street in Garden City...

Also Davenport Printing Press in Mineola is GREAT! They DEF have private rooms.

Did you ask the GC Hotel if they do anything since you are having so many people stay there?

The hotel is in GC....not the actual Garden City hotel...lol

But I will check out the other recommendation

My FH wanted vincents. One of our fav places. But there is no private room and always very noisy. So hard to have a decent convo with 30 people plus the entire restaurant.

Ok called alot of these places and the prices are way to high. Feel like paying for another wedding with $50 a person.

Cheapest so far I got is... Gino's, Pasta Vino, and Bertucci's. Which none have I actually eatten at. lol

Any other suggestions would be super duper helpful!!

I would love spanish food, but don't really know of any nice spanish places in nassau like they have in queens.

Try elisa's in east meadow they have packages that start at 20pp and the food is good, runyons in seafood, bulldogs in amityville, hemingways in wantagh,

My friend had hers at macarthur park in RVC....not sure the price per person. There are a lot of bars/restaurants over there to price and not too far from GC if thats where you are looking?
