Do you guys think it is a huge issue to not give your children a religion when they are born and let them find it on their own?? (not have them baptised, christened or whatever)

I knew whom it was directed toward and I don't miss your otherI don't mean to be a KIA, I just like to be able to help people and answer their questions. I don't know everything about anything, but I do like to share what I do know, because maybe it can be a jumping off point. If I google something and post it because it's a simple explanation, or because it's from a reputable source, it doesn't mean I just picked up that info from googling it. If I just pulled it off the top of my head #1 I could be remembering it wrong, which happens often and #2 people would say 'Where is your evidence'... I don't think there's anything wrong with getting your info from books or courses or seminars. Where else are you supposed to gain knowledge? osmosis? I preface EVERYTHING with 'I read this..' and I usually tell where if I remember. Yes, I am well read. I don't think you can ever be too well read and there's always more to learn, but I really resent the assumption that I have no knowledge on a given topic because I found an article to illustrate my point. I'll try to stop being a KIA. I just always want to help people. But I'll try to stay out of any conversation i don't have a degree in, I guess. I am not holier than thou. It's so opposite, on this post especially I was taking the other side form people I felt were being judgemental and close minded on the topic.
Sorry if I come off as a know it all, I just like to try to help people.

I think that it is really easy to misunderstand someone on forums like this one. We are missing the inflection and expression with which a person speaks. It makes it really easy to come off in an inaccurate light. It happens to all of us.

Believe me or not...but you do come off as if you know everything and when you state facts they usually aren't your own. AND it does get really annoying.
I am sure there are LOTS of things people can say about me. As you did above

How does someone state a fact that is 'their own'? An opinion is your own, not a fact. Marymoon cannot 'create' facts about religion or any other topic that she posts about. IMO, there is nothing wrong with anyone googling information and posting it, or taking it from a book, as it is better to post something that comes from a reliable source than something that you may remember or interpretted incorrectly.
Personally, I like the information that Jenn (marymoon) shares. I wouldn't necessarily look up all of this stuff myself, and I find it interesting.
