I also remember for years, God Forbid you had your laces tied on your sneakers, they had to be tucked in on the sides...and what about when you and your friends WROTE/signed/tagged/ all over your decks, or KEDS ??

Did anyone ever have a SLAM BOOK ? Someone started these in junior high. (86 ??) It was basically a message board like this but in a notebook LOL. I have one. On the first page, everyone 'Signed in' (a numerical list) and for the rest of the book (as long as you wanted to make it) each page had a question (whats your fave color, best friend, cutest guy, what would you do IF, etc etc etc) every question we could dream up....some of them I cant beleive, LOL...and everyone would have to answer by their number on each page..
It seems like these werent as popular as I thought, only a few people have heard of them...

of course, they became the talk of the year, because we'd bicker and gossip about everyones answer, and who wasnt speaking to who, because she wrote that the other one was her best friend, and oh boy, he thinks YOURE the prettiest girl !, oh the laughs we had over these !! some questions were even cruel

, like who would you leave behind on a desert island, and the boys would write the girls they hated, LOL...ihave to dig it out one of these days......

what about passing notes in class ??? was it just us ?? I was a big note-passer, and I still have a shopping BAG FULL of notes we passed, anywhere from what are you wearing tomorrow (LOL!!!) to discussing the cute boys....oh the memories !!!!
and we had to be slick about getting the notes passed all the way across the room...

oh and how many times my sis and I played tricks on our teachers !

(thats another thread altogether !) (the twin-switch!) we did it EVERY YEAR from first grade through High School !)

i remember when beepers were totally and only related to druggies (no offense jennbaby !!) a kid we went to school with had one and everyone was like 'he deals drugs' LOL, and sure enough...
This was RIGHT BEFORE it was cool. The following year everyone had one !

now ten year olds have cell phones !
