and i don't care what anyone says, sending that email was the best way for me. No way could I have called her and done that. I might've p*ssied out but that was the best way for me to do it.

I'm sorry this had to happen but maybe it was for the best. I am also glad that this didn't ruin the friendship. I was thinking of doing the same think but was trying to find the best way to do it. I think nI might just try email.
