Renamed - Leese's Quest for a Dress.... Check out Page 2
I've been in love with Demetrios gowns forever and so going there was great. I worked with this woman who was so sweet and really listened to me. For the first time, I didn't get thrown into a strapless gown 'just to see'
Anywho...I really liked two VERY different gowns. I am NO WHERE near being finished looking for dresses, but I think I am narrowing my vision down.
I am torn between getting a very full skirt with a defined waist, or a more a-line and sleeker dress.
Here are photos of two that I really liked. They are both Demetrios. I can't really find the sleeker one on line. But I included one just like it (I tried this one on too) but it's fuller.
The big ball gown dress was very pretty and it defined my waist well (and better than the sleeker one) in the front but from the side, it was so much material, it didn't look that good. But I liked it.
The sleeker one is simply gorgeous but may need some more delination on the waist - i look better with either a drape or a defined waist for some reason.
The mantilla veil, which is what I want to wear was awesome. I really felt like I was a Mediterraen bride!

hahah - thanks the third is the first - just with a fuller skirt and different top.
it didn't look as good as the first did on me.

see how i am going for totally different looks!

I like all 3, I know I'm no help!! But they're all really beautfiful gowns!!! I hope you find the 'one' real soon, it's such a great feeling!! And you're lucky, when I went to Macy's in Smithaven Mall they didn't let us take pics!

ball gowns really help define shapely girls...I thought I would get a more aline shape, but my waist looked so tiny in a ball skirt that I fell in love..
that being said, the first few pics of you look great with the more fitting skirt. of course the waist could be nipped in more to better define, but you have a good bust and hips to wear that shape very well. the lace and the mantilla are just gorgeous. You really look fantastic (and that's with NO help!!)

so pretty!!! I have to tell you, I love #2!!! The ball gown surely does help shapey girls! Remember, on a ball gown, you can always not wear the crinolin skirt underneath...My dress is ball gown & i opted to not wear the underskirt & it didn't make it as full! Just a food for thought
So. I've tried on other dresses like #2 (the ball gown) and they HAVE looked good in slimming me down. I think the prob with that particular one is that it made my waist from the side not that nice.
I'd love to just make the bottom of the sheath have a delination in my waist... maybe that would work...
I also love the LACE dress. You look beautiful in it!

Ok...update.
This dress:
is this dress:
Lisa, I am assuming that is you in the first pic (though you'd make a great print ad model too!!)
I really like the way the dress skims your hips- it really creates a nice line like that, and I love the train on that dress...it goes very well with the mantilla.
