Repost from BHB: Bustle during first dance...

Hey there...just wondering about this - is it customary to bustle your gown during your first dance (and during your entrance to the reception) ? I would think yes, so that you can move around more easily. My mom thinks that it's customary to leave it down and to bustle after the first dance so that people who were not at your ceremony can see the entire dress. Any thoughts on this?

Yes, it is typically bustled after walk down aisle where it is shown to its full glory...and if doing photos after. Before grand entrance usually bustle made.

I don't have any pictures!! They don't have it on any website and I didn't take any. I get kind of nervous with that stuff anyway (very bad, I'm superstitious.).

leeleelee! No matter what you do you will look stunning at Raphael.

Oh, and yes, I would say bustle the dress after the ceremony. Although I have seen it down for one forst dance. Super slow dance though, and they kind of did the 'clutch and sway' so it did not matter.

Thanks Bunny! I can't wait to go back again! I definitely think I'm doing the bustle right after pictures....just makes more sense...plus decreases the possibility of tripping and looking really graceful. :)

My train is very short so I might leave it out for the first dance.
