Last night I was talking to a friend who got married 5 years ago and we were discussing tipping some vendors.
She said that if I am feeding the DJ/MC and the photographer at the reception, than I don't need to tip them since I have to pay for their meals. Any one know if this is true?
Also, I just assumed that I would have to feed them, I this not always the case?
Thanks, Ang

Re: Repost from BHB- Vendor Question
I thought that you tip the vendors regardless of feeding them. There was recently a whole post on feeding vendors. In my opinion, feeding them is not equivalent to tipping. I think it is just common decency to feed them. Tipping them is completely separate.

Re: Repost from BHB- Vendor Question
I think they are seperate, although at my hall we don't get a discount on vendor food, we just don't pay for their drinks (all non-alcohalic of course!!).
We are going to tip based on our satisfaction with their services.

I would tip the vendors regardless of the fact that you are feeding them.

Re: Repost from BHB- Vendor Question
I would tip regardless cause the food is just extra food that would go to waste anyway. In my opinion feeding them and not tipping them is the cheap way out!SORRY
