Reputable Jeweler on L.I or NYC

Does anyone have 100% faith in their jeweler? If so can you please forum or post their details....I went to the diamond district and got scared with the hard sell attitude there so if you have used someone that you are happy with please send me details.....TIA.

Dennis J. Dalton at 74 Bowery. He is completely laid back, no hard sell. His girls are the sweetest and will spend the time even if you want to try on everything. I'm actually going there tomorrow to pick out my birthday gift.

I highly recommend Jonathan of Good old Gold. Several people on this site recommended him to me and he was great. He is also now a vendor on this site.

I've never met such a true, honest and reputable jeweler like Jonathan from Good old Gold. He is highly regarded on the internet for telling like it is. Check his website, its VERY imformative. He's located in Massapequa.

i dont know the name of it but a family friend goes tro a place in Garden city diagnolly across frm Leo's restaurant on Frankllin Avenue

Little King in the East Village. They make all their jewelry, so it's your design. I chose to have them make a ring with a simple Tiffany Lucida setting and it was much cheaper than even buying that type of setting online. Michael is an excellent craftsman and his wife is a gemologist. He specializes in the antique, hand embellished look, but my ring is very modern and he did a wonderful job. The have also made a pendant in rose golf and earrings in white gold - all exquisite designs! They are wonderful and work in silver, gold and platinum. I highly recommend them!

I HIGHLY recommend the jeweler my fiance used. In fact, just today, we bought our wedding bands. I am soooo excited. My fiance researches everything and is too smart and savy to ever be ripped off so when he was researching engagement rings and shopping around, he'd go to a few jewelrers and act like he didn't know anything about cut, clarity, color, grades, etc. There is so much more to picking out a diamond than I ever knew. My fiance discovered in all of his research that the most important thing is the measurement of different angles of the stone so that you get a number less than (or is it more than-I'm not sure) the number one. He chose this jeweler (Pollack and sons on fifth ave b/w 48th and 49th St) becasue they have very high quality diamonds AND they didn't try to rip him off (it's a father/son but the family owned business has been around ofr decaades-maybe a hundred years-not sure). My ring (if I may boast about it to prove a point) is stunning and is an amazing quality. Their number is 212-586-1385. Tell them you were referred by Colleen Hines, fiancee of Joe Williams.

We used Joe at Pico Jewelers in the diamond district. He never tried to sell us anything and there was no pressure. He really took time to educate us about diamonds the first time we went. When FI went back to get my ring, he was really helpful and nice. I like him. We plan on using him again when we order our wedding rings.

I also agree with Good Old Gold-that's where FH got my ering and I love it. Jonathan spent a lot of time with him and was very informative. I think I'm going to get my wedding band there too.

I second HL Gross. My Dad got my mom's engagement ring/wedding band there 30 years ago and the same family still owns it - the owners are great and they have a great selection. Our family has been buying all our watches/jewelery there for years. ALthough my engagment ring was a surprise, we got our wedding bands there as well.

My FI got my ring from 5th Ave Jewelers in the shopping center by the Millerage in Jericho. They are awesome!! They are an importer
