we didn't want to word ours with the traditional wording because it just didn't sound like us so we put

We look forward to celebrating with you

M___________

___ will attend

___ will not attend

# of guests _______

We are also listing EXACTLY who is invited from the household on the inner envelope

I will be writing up my response cards like this as well. A lot of people get confused when you just put 'will attend' and 'will not attend' and not # of guests.... my sister is currently getting response cards back and people will just check off 'will attend' w.o putting a number. So i am going to try and make it as 'idiot proof' as possible! lol

so sad but true.. so many people just don't pay attention to detail... I'm hoping my wording on my placecards will help me avoid having to make too many phone calls...

Re: Response Cards

Man, I have been so frazzled lately. I didn't even think to put '# of guests'.

The only problem I can see with this, is we have maybe 2 or 3 friends that are dating someone. I put 'm_________' do you think they would think to write 'Mr john doe and mrs jane smith' ???

I addressed some of the envelopes 'John doe and guest' , so maybe if they see that , and if they aren't going to come with anyone they will just put their own name??

Hmm...I think I really screwed this up. :(

Yes they will write in the name of the person they are bringing. on an invite my fiancee got a while back adressed to him & guest... I put
his name and my name in the M_____ section.
I'm sure if they plan on coming alone, they will just put their name I've been invited w/ guests before and gone alone... so I just put my name on the response card.

Re: Response Cards

my only recommendation is make sure you number the back of the response card so that if someone forgets to put their name down you know who it is.
