anyone have any suggestions of a really good restaraunt in or near ronkonkoma? i'm trying to get ideas for our rehearsal dinner.

J and R is excellent! As is Mama Lombardi's and H2O, as others have mentioned. What about the Ocean Avenue Steak House on Vets Highway? I have never been there and know nothing about it but it is soooo close to Lake Ronkonkoma it might be worth checking out.

Carabas is really good. they are right across from the watermill.

Sonoma Grill in Holbrook... terrific food... my FSIL's baby shower was held there. There is a private room in the front that can hold probably 30-40 ppl.
