Re: Retire?

Hahahah!! I wanted to wait a year b4 we try for kids but I am like I rather start trying in December after the wedding. We are gonna live in apt for 3 years and than buy a house we wanted to have a nice down payment so the mortgage payments are not awful.

Seriously I wanna quit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't care when people say you will be bored. I can find something to do, trust me!!!

Re: Retire?

I can't do that..... the gov't gave scholorships for SOOOOO many years of school / training, I'd feel too guilty!

but I totally fantasize about becoming the barefoot contessa or martha stewart and starting my own catering place...

sometimes I think the reason I love cooking / baking so much is because I never HAVE to do it... I always volunteer for outrageous dinner parties....

so do i!! in fact, this weekend one of my BMs has her shower and i'm cooking for it (with the other BMs). i planned most of the menu and have created a 'to do' list. i was like, hell, if i can fly across the country and pull this off in 1 day, then i'm golden!!

me too!!!! I would SO love to stop working!!! There's just so much more time to do things around the house, go to the gym, sleep, cook, etc. Working full time leaves me no time for anything and I'm always getting sick. In fact, when I left my previous job in the fall and took a few months off, I felt better than I have in years... since December I'm working full time again and of course I feel awful! I need to win the lotto so bad!!!!!

ditto. i once i finally finish my education and get in the position i'm working up to, i'll be ok. but now, ugh, i dislike my job greatly (not the kids, the other people who work there).
