I do not think you are overreacting. I would be pretty upset with his family. How did FH respond to the picture? Did he ask his family what the heck is this doing on the table?

I was at FH's Dad's house on Saturday and the house is kinda messy but whatever.

so on the kitchen table theres like papers and bills and old mail and newspapers etc....
and theres a picture laying on the table of FH and HIS EX GIRLFRIEND!!!!

***?? seriously?? WHY is this out?? Were they all just sitting around remembering the good ol days before I came along?

Its not that I hate her or anything..I understand FH had a life before me...its just that I have this feeling that his family misses her and doesnt want me around.

FH tells me I'm crazy but then I got to his parents house and FIND A PIC OF THEM TOGETHER ON THE TABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your not over reacting. Last Christmas Eve. MY boyfriend at the time decided he wanted to go and have a cigarette outside with his sister and her boyfriend. As to which I was left by myself with his mother. She decided to take out old photos. Which is fine, so instead of giving me all the photos to look at she insisted on giving me certain ones. Oh here AnnMarie look at this one. Which is one with my Fiancee now and his daughter. Then she showed me another one of his daughter and his ex wife. Which is fine. Then all of a sudden she starts picking out photos of my Fiancee and his ex wife alone. About 5-8 photos. As to which when my Fiancee came back in the house I was like its getting really late (1:00am) we have a long drive home.

This year though I already told my Fiancee I will not put up with her showing me pictures from the past being that now we are engaged. This is going to be a great Christmas Eve. LOL :)

Well that already makes me feel better!! FH being clueless about that is great. You are marrying him not his dad. Now if FH had the picture on his table, I would kill him. I am sure you are 100times more beautiful than she is. That has to make you feel better.

That kinda happened to me at FSIL's house about a year into our relationship. She actually had a framed pic of FH and his ex in her living room. When FH questioned her about it, cuz he was embarassed, she said it was because she didn't have any pics of me and him to put in the frame! Needless to say we fixed that issue for her....But don't get too worried, maybe it was mixed in with other papers they were going through... hopefully it wasn't a collection you found

wow, i would have been so upset!! i'm sorry you feel that way about his family.

i know you said something to him that night but it sounds like he was surprised that you were really upset about it. have you not talked to him about your concerns w his family's feelings about you?

i think you definitely need to talk to him about it. i'm sorry that happened, that really s ucks!!

I would be soo upset too.. but atleast it wasnt your FH that put them there. your marrying our FH not his parents.. if your FH had it out at his house then THATS a totally different story

Actually something sorta similar happened to me a few weeks ago. However it was pics of me and my ex lolol I went to my parents house to pick up some mail that I still get there and to see my parents, and i'm standing around and I see a whole pile of pics underneath some papers and things. So i grabbed them and was looking at them and i go 'mom, whos baby is this??' shes like oh thats annmarie's grandson' so i was like oh so i continue looking and i'm like well this isnt annmaries baby!!!! and it was a bunch of pics of my and my ex haha so jimmy walks by and hes like oh let me see!! i was like NOoooooooooo its ok and i threw them back on the counter. I was like mom why do you have those out?! shes like i was cleaning out my end table and thats what was in there..i felt so bad for FH but he really didnt seem to care at all. Hes so easy going and he never gets jealous...actually we saw that Same Ex in Penn Station on sat night and he didnt even seem bothered lolol

no you are not wrong, i would be pissed too. Is there a chance that maybe his dad was cleaning up the house maybe going through old boxes or something like that and it was there by mistake...just trying to think of reasons that it could've been there.

Fiancee was pissed at the time about what I told him. He knows his mom is a little odd, but whatever. This year I already told him that IN THE NICEST WAY I Can. I will say I don't think your son would appreciate you showing me pictures of him and his ex-wife. But maybe we could show him and see how he feels. Being that last year as soon as she heard my Fiancee come in the door she was like Okay that is enough, gotta put them away. LMAO. I am now laughing about it but this time i will have to say something.

Sorry you had to see those pics but it does seem like it was innocent enough, FH didnt put them there and its not like dad was looking longinly at them when you walked it...

I guess Im weird cause FH and I are friends with some of his ex's.. i mean we have been together for 7 years so any ex's of his were HS girls.. his hs ex just got married last year and we were invited, so for me it wouldnt be a big deal. Ive seen the ex pics before because his mom is crazy and makes scrap books of every detail of their lives.... and shows everyone.. but its ok that the ex's are in there cause that was his life before me, I know though that I have more pics in there than anyone though!
