REVIEW: Glow Skin Spa Airbrush Tanning

Ok, as promised, albeit pretty late, I am posting my review for Glow Skin Spa's airbrush tanning.

I was expecting some fancy dancy big spa. It's in a converted apartment on the 8th floor of a building on 60th between Park and Madison. But, makes sense as to why so many celebrities go - there's definitely a sense of anonymity associated with it.

Anyway, Jeani, the owner, is the one who does it. When I got there we sat down and she showed me pictures of medium-light and medium (we didn't even get to the dark ones, I have super fair skin and didn't want to look totally fake). We decided to try the medium and go a little lighter on the face. I had to get down to just my undies and the weirdest part was that it wasn't weird at all! Jeani's really sweet and I felt totally comfortable. Basically, she uses an actual airbrush over your body. She did mine twice, not sure if that's affected by the shade you choose. Anyway, she had me in all these positions to do it and used a sponge brush periodically I guess to brush away excess or give some areas a little more. After this, I stood in front of a fan for 10 minutes, turning often. Then Jeani put powder on me so that the stickiness wasn't terrible. I didn't put a bra back on and had brought a black loose tshirt and black sweats to change into.

The price on the website is $65 which, compared to a number of other salons, was very reasonable. Well, as a first time customer I was eligible for a 20% discount. There was a package of 3 for $150 but I applied the 20% to that and got three for $120! So, for $3 more I got an extra time (which I'll be using for my MOH's wedding in July).

The only thing I didn't do that I absolutely will, and you all should, is obey the moisturizing rule. I did fade a little weird like 3 days later but I was supposed to moisturize 2x per day. I had done it maybe once the whole time. I will definitely be moisturizing when I get it done for the wedding.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Re: REVIEW: Glow Skin Spa Airbrush Tanning

First, so you can see how freaking white I normally am, this is a pic of me in the dress when it first came in with no extra color.

Here's a pic of me the next day. I was going to put on a bathing suit and take pics for you guys but apparently my underwear that day were granny panties because when I put on a regular bathing suit, all you saw around the bottoms was WHITE! So, you'll just get the top view from my fitting.

Re: REVIEW: Glow Skin Spa Airbrush Tanning

How long is it supposed to last ( if you do the moisturizer)?

Re: REVIEW: Glow Skin Spa Airbrush Tanning

I'll answer both questions:

1) it should last about a week

2) nope, nothing came off on the dress. That was exactly 24 hours after I had it done. For the wedding it'll be slightly lighter - I'm getting it done almost exactly 48 hours before the wedding.
