I'm looking for a RH that has a view of the ocean from the room. I would like it to have more of an elegant, european style decor-wise instead of a beach club look. I really want big windows and crystal chandeliers. So far I have seen CLM, VYC, Giorgios, Floral Terrace and Louis XVI. Lookwise Louis XVI had everything I wanted..but I heard not so great things about their food (portion wise) and a few other things I didn't like so now I am leary. If anyone has any ideas for me I'd REALLY, REALLY appreciate it...
Here is a list of the places I'm thinking of going to see, so if you have any comments on them please let me know too!: The Surf Club Atlantica Beckwith Pointe Lombardis On The Sound Greentree Country Club VIP Country Club Glen Island Davenport Country Club Trumpets At The Gate Marina Del Rey

What about The Donald's new place, http://www.trumpontheocean.com/home.html Its advertising a Spring '09 opening; we took our e-pics right in front of the building site, the views there are probably going to be incredible!

I went to a wedding at Lombardis on the sound and the view, food and staff were very good. No real complaints except they had CH inside and didnt have enough chairs and tables for al the guests but had an incredible CH as far as food

Re: RH Help!
We investigated Atlantica and although we liked the setting, I felt that the a la carte pricing wasn't as competitive as the packages at regular catering halls further west. There aren't a lot of hotel options for guests nearby, either.
No complaints about the food, though. We had dinner there (as regular restaurant guests) and it was great.

I really liked the Cresent Beach Club--so beautiful and the food is excellent--I have eaten dinner there and FH's family eats there often
