Check out the Old Field Club! It is on the water and absolutely gorgeous!!!!!
OFC is beautiful but it is EXTREMELY overpriced for what they offer IMO...

COMPLETELY AGREE! We literally started laughing at the girl when she told us the price. I felt kind of bad, but I'm paying $100 LESS at my RH and getting 3 times the amount of stuff and space.

My sister got married at the TC and it was beautiful. Also, have you checked out at the Bayview House at Captain Bills? Right on the marina, and really has that nautical beachy feel. Also, exactly in your price range for a Friday/Saturday/Sunday in the summer.

Same here.. I couldnt believe that they were charging that much.. I almost fell over.. And their cocktail hour was just short of pathetic... Im getting 3x the food at sunset and paying 100 less p/p.. It has to be the area and the view that your paying for.. That room seemed very small to for what they said it could hold...

I'm very happy with my choice to book the waterview club. Jonathan was very flexible in working in our budget (he quoted us $80 pp on a Sunday and when we asked him to lower it to $70 and he did), and compared to all of the Hamptons locations I was looking at they were extremely reasonable (I really wanted Gurney's, so my heart broke when they told me $150 pp). I did not see Sunset Harbour, but they quoted my parents about $60 pp for a Sunday, so they might be a good place to check out.
I don't know if you need the WOW feeling, but you definitely don't want to regret it afterwards. You have to somehow compromise between a price you can afford and a place you like :)
Good luck!

We LOVED Jonathan. He was easily the most genuine and empathetic person we've met with. For whatever reason, though, the place just didn't 'speak' to us. I'm sure he will do EVERYTHING to ensure you have a beautiful day.
Out of curiosity, are you having your ceremony there or elsewhere? The ceremony situation was probably our biggest concern.

Re: RH Help
One of my friends is a bm at lombardi's on the bay and quoted me 85++ for a peak month but also said I could mess around with the menu to cut costs for instance since they are already serving pasta during the ch if I took out the pasta station it would have been $2pp less and pasta would still be served. They had a lot of options like that to cut the cost which I wish a lot more rh did that!! Hth

Re: RH Help
The only venue on your list that I toured was the Riviera, and we happened to fall in love with the place and went back the next day to sign the contract. Having said that, we had only positive experiences there. Had I felt that anyone was being rude to us or felt that we just didn't 'click' with the BM, I'm not sure what we would have done. I will say, though, that my husband and I feel so fortunate that we found the Riviera and got married there, as our wedding day was more beautiful than we ever could have imagined. Like you, we wanted something on the water, something somewhat intimate, and also one wedding at a time. It was also one of the more affordable venues we looked at and we were able to allocate more $ toward other things we wanted, which was great. Feel free to send me FM if you have any other questions and good luck with your search! :)

Re: RH Help
Been to a wedding at The Riveria. The ceremony site is beautiful but the reception room was filled to capacity and DH & I thought it was really tight. I ordered the seafood entree (I think it was stuffed shrimp) and did not like it. I'm a little (ok, a lot!) biased towards VYC -they did such an excellent job, great layout for cocktail hour, food for cocktail hour & dinner was spectacular and I loved the service. I know some people don't like that they can have more than one event going on at once, but to be honest, the place was so big and b/c of the layout, I never even felt or knew there was another party going on at the same time. I feel picking VYC was one of the best decisions we made. Happy Planning!!

Re: RH Help
My aunt just got married at the Riviera on May 12, and I have to say it was phenomenal. When I went to go look at the hall myself I felt that the staff was a little preoccupied and didn't really pay us the best attention but their prices were reasonable, and she was not pushy at all. Turned out the place was just a little too small for our size party, however the view is INCREDIBLE, it was simple beautiful to have the ceremony outside and the CH was awesome. Food was great, little mini Venetian area was a hit and everyone had a really great time.

Almost every place we looked at was on the water, it was a requirement for FH. We booked the Thatched Cottage, which was our second RH we looked at. I absolutely fell in love right away, but FH still wanted to see what was out there. The food is incredible and the woman we worked with (Maureen) was beyond amazing. FH is Batman OBSESSED and the first thing she said was 'So you are walking in to the Batman Theme Song right?' That was already our plan, but it was great to have someone really looking out for what is interesting to us.
This! The view is beautiful and Maureen is a pleasure to work with. She really tries to make the wedding as personal as possible. She was already creating signature drinks with my FH's last name before we signed the contract! I can understand why you might not get the typical 'wedding feel' from TC. The first time I saw it, it was set for a sweet 16 & that turned me off at first, but I couldn't get it out of my head when I went to more traditonal catering halls. It had such a personal, intimiate feel. Don't book unless you're sure! Good luck!

Re: RH Help
I have never been to a wedding at the Crescent Beach Club but I looked at it for my own and was not a fan of Bill at all. He just gave off the wrong vibe. It wasn't the place for me for several reasons, but he was a huge turn off either way.
