RH Review- FH, Bellport CC, CHCC, and Larkfield
I'm sorry I didn't share these sooner, it's been a crazy weekend (I'll post a whole other topic on it!)...
This past week, I made a couple different appointments with Fox Hollow, Bellport CC, Crest Hollow CC, and Larkfield Manor... I'll give you a gyst and if you want more details you can FM me.
Bellport CC- I was almost convinced that this was the place for FH and I. We fell in love with it and the space. I went for my second visit this past week and still loved everything they offered... except for the price. I was looking to see if they could accommodate my budget, which is not much less than what they gave me but i was basically given the ultimatum of removing items off of the menu and certain amenities in order to get the price I was looking for. I was already sacrificing what i wanted in a ceremony space in my mind because the rose garden they offered was a nice area, but not really what I liked or was looking for. Even after that conversation, I was still willing to do so until...
I visited Fox Hollow.
Fox Hollow- FH looked at me after leaving Fox Hollow and said the place blew Bellport out of the water for us. The ceremony space was exactly what we wanted with a beautiful waterfall, fountain, and TONS of flowers. We loved the outdoor cocktail area- it was so spacious! and the Winter Garden Pavilion is exactly what we wanted for a Reception space. It's different, and doesn't feel like you're walking into any other room.
Crest Hollow CC- FH and I loved this place as well! The outdoor cocktail hour was a little to pricey for our liking (FM me for pricing). I love the individual rooms though and the outdoor ceremony space is beautiful. It was very big, so at times I felt a little lost, but the staff is friendly and the piano player in the lobby was a very nice touch and is included in all weekend events.
Larkfield Manor- It wasn't my favorite place. FH and I knew after just a few minutes of walking in that it was not the place for us. They are also having huge renovations done in 2013 before july and we didn't want to sacrifice the timing we would like for our wedding and the price we were given for the place. FM me for more details.
Like I said, if you have any questions or want any other details, FM me and I am more than happy to share. HTH!![]()
