RH with outside area for CH (june 2010)

My sister recently got engaged and is looking to set a date for June 2010. We went to the Thatched Cottage yesterday, for a food tasting (delicious) however we think its a bit far, most guests are from queens, brooklyn & the price wasn't all that great (for a Saturday night)
I know she looked at the Swan Club & Woodbury CC but I know WCC is more$, what other places have a nice outside for CH but aren't further then lets say Exit 40 off the LIE? & you can get Seafood Boat, Vienesse Hr for about $150pp taxes included?

Have you tried looking at Crest Hollow CC. THey have a huge outside and its beautiful. I am not sure what exit it is but I think its around the 40's on the LIE.

Try Fox Hollow, I'm getting married there in June 2010 and they gave great rates

Inn at New Hyde Park? You could do the ceremony and CH outside and the ballroom also opens to the outside.

I don't know details about the pricing but westbury manor had a gorgeous outside CH area

ive been there myself and i dont remember them having an outside area for CH. do they?

I think Westbury Manor has one of the nicest outside cocktail hour that I have ever been to. i don't know about the pricing but their grounds are beautiful and the food was great.

I'm getting married at North Ritz in June 2010. It's in your sister's price range, and they have a GORGEOUS CH area outside. FM me if you'd like more details.

I agree about the Westbury Manor's outdoor area! I was quoted for about $132pp (before tax, etc.) for a Saturday in the Fall, but that was the original price given to us without any negotiation. HTH

Yeah, the grounds are GORGEOUS! IMO, one negative of this hall is that our minimum guarantee was 225. Personally, I don't think the main room and the dance floor can hold nearly as much as that! If I was having a small wedding (~150) and they didn't have a 225 minimum, I would have LOVED to have my wedding there! The grounds are beautiful!

An Outdoor CH was one of things we really wanted also!! We ended up booking at the Thatched Cottage, but other places that had this were:

Chateau La Mer
Swan Club
Sans Souci
Harbor Club (but this is almost as far as the Thatched Cottage)
The Riviera in Massapequa

Also, the Watermill had a beautiful outdoor area, btu that is further than exit 40 lol.

I think the North Ritz Club has an outdoor area also? We didnt look here b/c my brother got married here but its amazing.

Westbury manor has amazing grounds! thats one of the reasons we chose this RH.
But we also looked at Glen Cove Mansion and they have a really nice outside area as well, not as nice at westbury to me. and glen cove was mean to us.
I believe the coral house has an outdoor CH. my brother got married there and i remember them saying that their CH was supposed to be outside but it was a thunderstorm on the day of their wedding.

Oh and i just realized that you were looking for June 2010, Heads up- we were looking for that as well and westbury manor didnt have any weekends in June left (at least thats what they told us)
