My sister recently got engaged and is looking to set a date for June 2010. We went to the Thatched Cottage yesterday, for a food tasting (delicious) however we think its a bit far, most guests are from queens, brooklyn & the price wasn't all that great (for a Saturday night) I know she looked at the Swan Club & Woodbury CC but I know WCC is more$, what other places have a nice outside for CH but aren't further then lets say Exit 40 off the LIE? & you can get Seafood Boat, Vienesse Hr for about $150pp taxes included?

Terrace on the Par's Penhouse room has a gorgeous terrace for cocktail hour over looking the skyline, citifield, unisphere...the view is breath taking..I had my reception here , check review for more details HTH

It is in New Rochelle,but Iam not sure if it is in that price range for the summer.
Vip and Surf Club are next to each other so she can check them both out on the same day.Glen Island as well.

The Royalton in Roslyn Heights. It's right off of the LIE and Northern State and it's close to Queens and Brooklyn. My fiance and I visited the Royalton last Sunday and it only took us 25 min to get there from Manhattan.

Larkfield Manor has an outdoor cocktail area and a seafood bar and VH all within that price range
