RH with outside area for CH (june 2010)

My sister recently got engaged and is looking to set a date for June 2010. We went to the Thatched Cottage yesterday, for a food tasting (delicious) however we think its a bit far, most guests are from queens, brooklyn & the price wasn't all that great (for a Saturday night)
I know she looked at the Swan Club & Woodbury CC but I know WCC is more$, what other places have a nice outside for CH but aren't further then lets say Exit 40 off the LIE? & you can get Seafood Boat, Vienesse Hr for about $150pp taxes included?

the woodlands has a gorgeous outdoor area. not sure about pricing on a saturday night though.



yeah i was gonna say for the price maybe u can do the woodlands on a friday night, saturday day, or sunday

I second the Crest Hollow suggestion...the outside area is awesome and would definitely be in your sister's price range

ive been there myself and i dont remember them having an outside area for CH. do they?


Depending on the number of guests- if you have the Garden Terrace Room, you'll have the outdoor cocktail.

I was going to suggest Chateau Briand since they just re-did the outdoor area, but I saw that you got married there. Im not sure how you both feel about having the same RH.

yes this is the room i have... so if you are in the garden terrace if the weather is nice they will set up your CH in the garden outside of the room

i second this - Riviera has a HUGE outdoor cocktail hour and they should be within that price range - the food was awesome and plentiful.

Bridgeview was great too; we went for a tasting and didn't love the food all that much plus the Riviera gave us more and had a better minimum.

I am getting married in June at the North Ritz Club. The place is gorgeous and perfect for an outdoor CH, which is one of the reasons I fell in love with the place.

I am hoping for beautiful weather so we can have an outdoor ceremony & CH.

Also, half of our guests will be coming from Queens, which is very convenient as its right off the parkways and not too far out.

I think you could probably work something out with them for the pp amount she wants to spend. They do have a guarantee of 200 usually.

Glen Island Harbor Club is nice, in New Rochelle, but they do more than one wedding at a time. Prices are comparable with the Inn at NHP.

if your willing to go to new rochelle... surf clubs CH is outisde on a patio right on the beach

Sans Souci! The cocktail hour is outside overlooking Hempstead Harbor & the beach- very pretty & the food is outstanding. I dont have any pics from the cocktail hour- but there are pics of it in my review

I also went to a wedding at the Crescent Beach Club and the outside cocktail hr is basically on the beach...there is a deck area and the beach....It was very nice but I have no idea what the prices are there.

new rochelle....do a search on nycweddings.com....lotsof girls got married there and I heard they just renovated it too....so it must be even more gorgeous
