No. I think nowadays the best man usually holds them.

I was going to let him until my sister told me (rb mom) that he said to her since Hailey (my fg) gets to throw rose petals do i get to throw the rings??

so i am letting bm hold on to them

no you just put fake ones on the pillow, i think theyre usually plastic. Some pillows come with fake ones tied to it.

My ringbearer will be almost 4 yrs old for my wedding so I am going to have the best man hold the rings and the ringbearer will have fake rings on his pillow

Yea when we went to PreCana the lady there was like WHATEVER you do, do not give the little ringbearers the actual ring. Shes seen it where the rings end up falling off the pillow and rolling down the aisle!!

yep. that's what i plan on doing. BM will have the real ones.

he'll be 7. we'll have someone hold onto the box with them until right before he walks down the aisle, and then he can hand it to one of the best men when he gets to the end.

how sad is it that I trust HIM more than i trust our bestmen??

7 is not bad though, they listen more...Mine will be 2 and a half so a bit harder. I can only imagine what he'd do with it

our RB is 8 and every time i've seen him for the past year he has asked if he is really going to carry the rings. so i decided to let him do it. i'll just make sure my MOH has them until we walk down the aisle and she can tie them to the pillow for him.

when we told him he could do it you would have thought we told him he was moving to disneyland. he was sooooo excited. it was really cute.

Excuse my language but HELL NO!....I'd hate to fight my nephew in the middle of my wedding for losing my rings....to be on the safe side I'll stick with someone that has a job and can replace them if lost

well - even though we plan on putting little fake ones on I'm worried now - when he 'Practices' using a pillow from the couch - he goes up and collects rings from each person. that s actually my fault - we gave him a lesson at christmas and me and FFIL took our rings off and put them on the pillow for him. then as more and more people were watching him practice he went to each person who had a ring to get it. lol - we played along, but now i'm DYING thinking hes going to stop and collect rings from people as he's coming down the aisle.
actually - i'm secretly hoping he does as it would be just TOOO adorable!!!!!!

Our RB will be 6 at the time of the wedding and the answer is still NO.

The best man will have them -- and even he is getting spoken to the night before about responsiblity and how important his job is

Honestly if we had a ring bearer, I would still not trust him with the rings... lol

I am honest in saying I hope to goodness that the BM (who will be holding the rings) won't lose them.
