Ring Bearer Question

Is it totally necessary to have the RB carry a pillow? Are you doing this? I'm just wondering since the best man will have the rings....thanks ladies!

Re: Ring Bearer Question

Some girls have had a 'here comes the bride' banner carried down the aisle instead

Re: Ring Bearer Question

We are having the Jr. Groomsman do it, I got a pearlized beautiful shell that is about the size of your palm, I put light tooling insided the sea shell and we are going to have him carry our real rings in it, I just have to figure out how to secure them in the shell. Our initials in silver will hang down the front of the sea shell on two white ribbons that say I do. Its really pretty. So basically you can do anything you want to, I dont care for the pillows, but there are many things you can give him instead just to make him feel involved and keep him occupied while going down the aisle.

Umm...well I had 2 RB's, and lets just say THEIR mothers forgot to give them the pillows [although] they blamed it on me. HAHAH! They were in the limo, but they forgot to give it to them. It still looked fine, I guess. The 1 RB wanted to carry the FG basket instead anyway...LOL.
Because my RUDE SIL's forgot the pillow, I just made them carry it into the recpetion, however there ages were like 3, and 3 1/2 so they didnt know what the concept was, and they weren't holding the pillow like they should. They were waving it around like it was a toy or something!

Re: Ring Bearer Question

I think the ring bearer should carry something, because, what else is the point? Mine isn't carrying the real rings, we have two silver plastic rings attached to the pillow (our rings are platinum.) I also have one of the 'Here Comes the Bride' banners for two of the older boys to carry.

But there's plenty of things he could carry. If he's really young, he could carry a teddy bear. RingBEARer, geddit?

Re: Ring Bearer Question

I am having a RB who is 10 so he is not too little and he isn't too old. So he will do a good job and I don;t have to worry about him not wanting to go down the asile. I like tradition.
