I noticed a few weeks ago that my ring is a bit thicker on one side and the milgrain is uneven. I'm guessing this happened when it was sized in September and somehow I'm only noticing it now (you can't really see it when I'm wearing the ring). The jeweler has been awesome and agreed to repair it and re-dip it for us for free. The jeweler is 4 hours away so we have to mail it, which I'm super nervous about! I'm going to miss it so much though, I'm still so obsessed with my ring and my finger is going to feel so naked! I ordered a stand in ring off of Amazon, a simple emerald cut CZ...very different from my normal ring...just for fun , so I don't feel so naked, and so people don't think I broke up with FH. It won't be here until probably Thursday though and I know I'll still miss mine!
Has anyone else been without their ring for a while? :(

I haven't been without mine yet but I'm thinking of getting mine sized down a little. In the summer its okay but in the winter it has a little too much wiggle room and makes me nervous. I can shake my hand and it won't fall off but I would feel better with it a little smaller. I've been dreading sending it to get it sized down so I haven't done it yet. That was a good idea with the Amazon ring. Hope it gets back quickly so you aren't without it too long!

I lost a side stone sky a month back, it had to be sent for repair....they said it could be a month!! I was so upset but it was only 2 weeks but it still ******! Lol I missed it! I had put another ring on.too! I put another ring FH bought me for Xmas one year, looked nothing like an engagement ring

i have a 4 prong setting, and one of the prongs bent so i could actually spin my diamond in its setting! soooo scary! my jeweler is in NJ, and I had to wait 3 weeks before I could get there to get it fixed. It was a pain, and my hand felt very light and empty without it, but best not to mess with a loose diamond! good luck with the repairs!!

Ladies just make sure that when you bring your settings for repair, that you keep your center stone with you or that you watch them while they re-set it. I have heard stories of people who went to fix their rings, and center stone was switched. Just be careful.
