Ring rash help

Ring rash help

I have developed a rash on my finger after wearing my wedding band for a month. After lots of research i think it is due to water and soap getting stuck on my finger since my wedding band is 4mm thick and comfort fit. Has anyone experienced this and any suggestions. I love my band and i hate not being able to wear it

I didn't experience this but you should probably stop wearing it until the rash goes away. I personally don't wear my e-ring at home. As soon as I get home, I put it away. When I wash my hands at work, I take my ring off to put lotion on (by my desk). Hopefully this helps.

If not, go to a dermatologist.

I've had the same problem recently. I used to wear it all the time, but now I take it off before I go to bed and it seems to be going away. Also, when I take it off, I put some hand cream on the rash and it really seemed to help.

A lot of women in my office have had this problem ever since the overload of hand sanitizer being passed around (because of H1N1). Just keep your band off for a few days (or on the other hand!), lotion it up, and you should be fine :).

You might have been too quick to start wearing it. I would try only wearing it out and putting it away when you get home. In addition to keeping the rash away, it will keep your ring looking newer too.

what's the ring made out of? if it's gold you could have a sensitivity to an alloy used ... i am allergic to nickel and that's often used as an alloy with gold so i have to wear either silver or platinum

I had the same issue. This may sound weird but if you feel comfortable put your ring in a little peroxide and water combo. I think its the bacteria that is in your ring, it happens when you can't dray the inside of your ring. It sounds weird but it worked for me. hope this helps.

I just went through that with my engagement ring - I wore it when I was cleaning and I think the bleach got stuck on my ring. I actually went to the jeweler and had it resized because it was a 1/2 size too small so it was irrating my finger.

You could also try getting it cleaned maybe something on it is irratating you

Good luck

wow i feel so bad he band for you. Bur for sure take take the band off until the rash goes away. I would recommend the dermatologist as well but b4 i do that, before i place the band on in the morning i would make sure its fully and nicely moisturised with vaseline
