i guess it's all relative! if you gave me the option of a half carat diamond, D in color and internally flawless, versus a 2 carat diamond, F/G in color, VVS2/VSI clarity, I would go with the later.

definately quality...FH went nuts finding the right one.....
somebody once made a comment to me about the size of it - .7 carat, and how i should never have settled on it. i let her have it right then and there. i don't care about the size....actually i think that anything larger would look too big, i have somewhat skinny fingers.

Quality... I actually returned my ring for a smaller diamond but better quality... BC we originally had a problem with the appraisal price and the price he paid... but its all better now, and I love my ring!

Quality- FH calls me from the jewelry place (no it wasn't a surprise although I wish it was, you can't have everything) and was like I can get you a big diamond but it won't be the best quality. I told him to do what he wants but told him I rather have the quality.
That's what FH did and I am so happy with my ring the center stone is 1.1 instead of 2 like I wanted, but I wanted quality and quanity and it just cost tooo much!
Now when I think about it, it's just not worth the money when we are trying to by a house, pay for a wedding, etc. It's not necessary.

I'm VERY color sensitive - my jeweler was very surprised that I could tell the difference between a D, E, F, G, etc. My diamond is smaller than most women in my area, BUT it's icy white and fits it's setting perfectly.
