I know there is a Fox Hollow thread, but is there a Riviera thread? Any helpful hints from past brides??

What did/is everyone do about reporting the number of guests? We don't want to give them an exact number as there are always people who can't come at the last minute, but how can we have them arrange the tables for less people? What did you do in the past? Thanks!

Hi! I am an 09 bride also! Thanks for this thread, It's nice to be able to read what everyone else is planning so I can get some ideas. Now, the florist that is included for the centerpieces, did anyone use them for their actual flowers? How were they?

Im usind LA Blossom and maybe use Tims for the CPs at the CH.

Just a question..if any Riviera brides know....I am having my ceremony and reception at the Riviera. I assume there is no rehersal at the RH....What did everyone else do?

I was told that we can do it the monday before but, since I am getting married on a Thursday I can do it the night before as long as nothing is going on.

THANK YOU for this thread.... so helpful!!!

Our entrees will be chicken cordon blu, chicken kiev, the one fish, and prime rib? I think... all I care about are the chicken dishes LOL

We aren't doing flowers and we didn't use their house vendors for anything LOL

Still figuring out the rehearsal stuff. And we didn't get any extras!

The hotels we're using are the Courtyard by Mariott and the Hilton Garden Inn. Neither have shuttles, though, so I'm not sure what we'll do about that.

I did the:

Chicken Princess
Prime Rib
Flounder stuff with crab, scallops and lobster
Duck

Another question... Do they need to know what meals people want ahead of time or do they just order at the table?

They take orders at the table, you dont need to know ahead of time. Which Marriott are you using because the one in Farmingdale does a shuttle if you have over 10 rooms. You should look into it.

It's the Courtyard by Marriott - I think it's in Farmingdale? I'll look into it - FH took care of the hotels and he said that there wasn't a shuttle at either. But it was so long ago we booked so who knows LOL

i didn't, I believe she was very sick around the time of my wedding. I would have liked to though; i thought she was a lot of fun.

My Fiance's Cousin owns Riviera.
It's soo pretty there isn't it? I love it there for summer/spring weddings.

So I tried booking hotels today and since the wedding is on a thursday night it is hard for them to block rooms during the week

Re: Riviera

Ok I called the Best Western which was is closer to The Riviera and they had better prices then The Courtyard. The Courtyard wouldnt give me a price without the shuttles and are alot more and wont block the night before my wedding for me.
What do you guys think is best?

For past Riviera brides, who did you tip and how much? My final meeting is tonight!! Any other questions I need to ask????

Re: Riviera

I only didn't book the best western because it has outside entrances and I wanted something a bit more classier looking for my wedding. Bit it is cheaper! That is a plus.

Really need to check on that Courtyard shuttle
