As for hotel, about 90% of my guests were OOT so I picked the Marriott solely for the location and free shuttle. They weren't the easiest but once the day arrived, they were amazing! They were great with the OOT bags and shuttle and even out treats in my suite while we got ready and when we returned that night.

I'm so surprised!! Thats so comforting to hear since we haven't had the best luck with them so far. We wanted to do Welcome notes or baskets. Did they just hand them out as guests checked in or did they leave it in their room? I'm worried about the Shuttle b/c we have to wait until the week before and I dont really know how to figure out when it should leave and how many people will be using it. Apparently there are 3 other wedding parties staying in the hotel our weekend. Do you remember how that worked out?

Can I just say how much I love this place and how no one knows about it.
I just love the feeling we got when we went to look at it, so cozy.
Did anyone use their florist and if not what are you using in place of the CPs?
Also what hotel did you block?

We are using their florist, house DJ and videographer. They have all been gems to work with so far. The florist is very accomodating we 'altered' our centerpieces because I made the bowls for them and they are working with us. I've also made alot of peculiar requests and they've said all around....no problem!

tim's florist was amazing and ridiculously cheap. i used the provided CPs; i'm really not into flowers.

just make sure you tell them if you're taking pics at the RH beforehand; they didn't know that and DH's flowers and his GM's flowers were not delivered in time.

We're using flower michele for the centerpieces but we are going to keep our flower credit from Tim's and get small 4x4x4 cubes with a single gerbera daisy in place of the roses that we'll put around hte cocktail hour, bar and escort card table. They light up too, I'm really excited about the flowers.

Hotel wise we are using the new Marriott in Farmingdale b/c it was very nice, all new and they provide a shuttle, but if you want my option, they've been very difficult to work with so far. If you want details, FM me

Thank you soo much everyone. I have tried to get a hold of someone at the Marriott but, we have been playing phone tag. Im hoping to use them cause of the shuttle. Are their prices good?
Im using LA Blossom for my florist and was thinking of doing something for the CH or getting the credit.

I'm using LA Blossom too, and getting married 2 days after you! Roses aren't for me, so we're taking the credit and just doing candles at CH.

I don't know if Laurie's doing any gazebo stuff for you, but if she's not, we're using our credit to buy some lovely hanging baskets for the gazebo (kind of like the ones you see in the booklet pictures).

Oops, lol! I only noticed the month and date, not the year.

The tulle and flower garland sounds lovely, I'm sure it will look nice.

Hi! I am an 09 bride also! Thanks for this thread, It's nice to be able to read what everyone else is planning so I can get some ideas. Now, the florist that is included for the centerpieces, did anyone use them for their actual flowers? How were they?

Re: Riviera

I haven't had my wedding yet but we are using Tim's for all of the flowers. They are great to work with! they have books of ideas and for my bouquet I have an odd request and they told me it would be no problem to replicate it!

Question for those of you who used the Marriott in Farmingdale - how did the shuttle work out? How many trips did you need and how early did guests get there? I'm posting on BHB too

Thanks!!

Re: Riviera

Re: Riviera

When I was there for my semi final meeting they had a rehearsal there.. so yes you can definitely rehearse there if you'd like.
